Investing in Miramar College Scholarships

Through the generosity of faculty, staff, industry partners and friends, doors are opened to a world of opportunities for deserving Miramar College students through scholarships. Without scholarship assistance, many students would not be able to afford a college education. Please help us continue to support excellence in education by contributing to, or establishing a scholarship. Invest now!

Endowed funds are established at $5,000 or more. The funds may be named at the donor's request and may be directed for scholarships or other special purposes.

Named Scholarship Funds: Gifts of $500 or more per year (minimum five-year commitment) will establish a new named scholarship fund. These funds may carry an individual's name or the name of an organization. Consider creating a career niche or academic program-specific scholarship. We can help you with the development of criteria and selection, if so desired. Gifts of any amount may be directed to existing named funds.

General Foundation Scholarship Fund Gifts of any size may be directed to the General Foundation Scholarship Fund, which supports annual scholarships for continuing Miramar College students and graduating seniors from area high schools who plan to attend Miramar College.

Facility Naming Opportunities

Due to the successful passage of two bond measures (propositions S and N), the San Diego Miramar College campus is in the midst of tremendous expansion, including construction of a new library/learning resource center, a fieldhouse, new classroom buildings, and a student union. The increased number of students served by the expansion will require increased support by the Foundation. Contact the Miramar College President's Office if you would like to discuss building naming requirements.
